# Oceanpoint

> Oceanpoint is the liquidity engine for tokenized real estate: owners sell a slice of a building as property tokens, and a buyer funded by the rent stands ready. Oceanpoint is a Luxembourg company (registered as Blocksquare S.à r.l., to be renamed Oceanpoint S.à r.l.), built by the core team of Blocksquare, a real estate tokenization pioneer since 2018.

## Key facts

- Oceanpoint and Blocksquare d.o.o. (Slovenia, blocksquare.io) are separate, related companies. Oceanpoint runs the marketplace and the liquidity engine on tokenization infrastructure it licenses from Blocksquare. Figures for the wider Blocksquare network (all Blocksquare-powered marketplaces) are not Oceanpoint's own figures.
- BST (Blocksquare Token): Blocksquare's ERC-20 protocol token (Oceanpoint holds a locked treasury stake; Oceanpoint's own token is POINT, planned), total supply 100,000,000 BST, deployed 2018. Contract: 0x509A38b7a1cC0dcd83Aa9d06214663D9eC7c7F4a (Ethereum mainnet).
- sBST: received by staking BST in the Main Governance Pool; accrues governance-pool rewards in BST and carries voting power; it does not share Oceanpoint's fees. Proposals are called OIPs (Oceanpoint Improvement Proposals) and are voted on Snapshot (snapshot.org/#/blocksquare.eth).
- BSPT (Blocksquare Property Token): ERC-20 tokens representing fractional ownership in individual real properties, issued through Blocksquare's tokenization infrastructure. Buying and holding BSPTs requires KYC on a marketplace.
- Staking BSPTs redirects the holder's rental income stream (paid in DAI) to the DAO treasury in exchange for BST rewards — it converts rental income into BST; it does not add BST on top of rental income.
- POINT (Oceanpoint Token): an UPCOMING liquidity aggregator token with flatcoin-like qualities. POINT is NOT a stablecoin. It has unlimited supply, minted/burned only against deposits (stablecoins in Phase I, BSPTs from Phase II). POINT has not launched yet; rollout is phased (Phase I: stablecoin ↔ POINT; Phase II: BSPT integration; Phase III: advanced risk management; Phase IV: BSPT lending).
- Yields are variable and set by protocol activity and governance; Oceanpoint does not promise fixed APYs.
