Asset pool - Issuer
Rewards
The issuer pool earns a share of BST emissions, divided among stakers by pool share. The allocation is set through governance and changes over time; see the live figures at /stats.
The issuer pool lets owners of real estate stake their tokenized property and earn BST, giving them an additional income stream from a building they keep.
After a property is tokenized through Blocksquare's tokenization protocol, its BSPT tokens are minted to the owner's wallet, and the owner can stake them on Oceanpoint.
Do you own real estate?
Apply online at /tokenize. Tokenizing on Oceanpoint typically turns a 20–30% slice of a building into property tokens; you keep the rest and keep control of the asset. Applying is free, and if your property lists, the listing fee is 5–6%, paid in retained tokens.
- Step 1ApplyDescribe the property: type, location, ownership and value.
- Step 2UploadAdd the documents; the confidence score shows what strengthens the application.
- Step 3ReviewThe Oceanpoint listing team verifies the submission section by section.
- Step 4TokenizeSell a 20–30% slice; the 5–6% listing fee is taken in tokens; the property goes live.
The more property value you stake, the larger your share of the issuer pool, and the larger your share of the BST rewards the pool receives.
By staking BSPT, the issuer commits to a 6-month lock-up period, during which the tokens and earned rewards can't be withdrawn. When the owner unstakes, the team verifies that they still own the property and the governance board approves the release; the BST rewards then vest over 24 months. See Unstaking tokenized real estate.
After the lock period, owners can access their rewards and decide what to do next:
- keep staking their BSPTs,
- sell BSPTs on the KYC-gated Oceanpoint marketplace (eligible properties only), or
- sell BSPTs to Oceanpoint's liquidity engine once it is live (not yet available; see POINT and the liquidity engine).
BSPTs entitle their holders to the property's rental income distributions, so once an owner sells tokens, the buyers receive the rental income on the tokens they hold.
What is the reason for distributing staking rewards?
BST rewards reward property owners for bringing real estate into the ecosystem, growing the community of token holders and the value locked in the protocol at the same time.
What is the issuer pool's rewards schedule?
There is no fixed monthly amount. The issuer pool receives a share of BST emissions that is set through governance and changes over time. See About pool mechanics and the live figures at /stats.
How much could I make with my property?
Your rewards depend on your share of the pool, not on a fixed rate. Your share is the value of the property tokens you stake compared with the total value staked in the issuer pool. If your stake is 2% of the pool, you receive 2% of the BST rewards the pool gets in that period.
Two things change your earnings over time. When other owners stake more, the pool grows and your share, and so your rewards, shrink. When the BST allocation to the pool changes, everyone's rewards change with it.
All rewards are paid in BST, and their value in USD depends on the BST market price. The current yield (APY) of the pool is on /stats.
Pool mechanics
To start staking a property, the owner first tokenizes it through Blocksquare's tokenization protocol.
Once the property is tokenized, the owner stakes the BSPTs in the issuer pool in the Oceanpoint dApp at app.oceanpoint.fi. The pool records the owner's share based on the property's valuation and locks the BSPTs for a minimum of 6 months.
After the 6 months, the owner can unstake the BSPTs and collect the BST rewards.
