Selection process

Regional Ambassador

Ambassadors join through an online application at oceanpoint.fi/advocate/apply. It asks about your professional background and includes a short knowledge check, so that everyone representing the program can explain tokenized real estate accurately.

The application runs in five steps. After each step you receive an email with a link to the next one, and you can sign in at any time to continue where you left off.

  1. Apply. Enter your name and email.
  2. Tell us about you. The fuller application: your country and city, LinkedIn, Discord handle, the communities where you're a trusted voice, and your background and why you want to represent Oceanpoint.
  3. Self-evaluation quiz. A short quiz on the Oceanpoint ecosystem. Completing it is mandatory, but it is a self-assessment, not pass/fail. Your result shows which areas you may want to read up on.
  4. Register your marketplace account. Create your account and wallet on the Oceanpoint marketplace with the same email and complete KYC.
  5. Sign the referral agreement. Review and sign the Regional Ambassador Referral Agreement on the page.

The background questions help the program team assess fit, and the quiz helps you check that you can explain the ecosystem clearly to others.

All Regional Ambassadors must register an account on the Oceanpoint marketplace and complete KYC. Rewards are paid in BST to the wallet on that account.

The full step-by-step guide is in Ambassador registration.

Regional Chair

Ambassadors choose their own Regional Chair. They know the dynamics and needs of their region best, so the decision is theirs.

The chair is selected by the hub's members. In a group, members vote and the majority wins; the vote of the ambassador who started the hub breaks ties. An ambassador who starts a hub alone is its chair by default.

Letting ambassadors pick their own chair fills leadership roles with people who have earned their peers' trust, and gives each hub a sense of ownership over how it runs.
