The scoring system

In every quarterly competition, each participating Regional Hub is scored on two things:

  1. The activities of all its members: referrals, KYC-verified onboarding and tokenized properties
  2. The events the hub organizes during the quarter

Together these give a full picture of each hub's contribution to the network.

The system rewards active participation, effective referrals and well-attended events.

The points for each scoring category are below. The same table is shown in the Regional hub section of the ambassador dashboard.

a) Event organization

Event format In person Online
Short event (up to 2 h) 10 points 1st event 10, 2nd 8, every further event 6 points
Half-day event 50 points 1st event 50, 2nd 40, every further event 32 points
Full-day event 150 points 1st event 150, 2nd 120, every further event 96 points
Each registration +0.1 point +0.1 point
Each check-in +1 point +1 point

Repeat online events score less, so hubs are encouraged to meet in person. For online events, attendance counts from registrations and live joins instead of door check-ins. Hub members do not count as registered or checked-in attendees.

Events are created, published and credited through the ambassador dashboard; see Organizing events (Eventbrite).

b) Referral goals

Referral action Points
New marketplace operator onboarded 300 points
New real estate asset tokenized owner is an individual = 10 points
owner is a company = 100 points
Total value of tokenized real estate +5 points per $100,000
Referred user passes KYC 1 point
Total value of BST sold via OTC (minimum $50,000) +5 points per $10,000

To keep the program working well, Blocksquare may adjust the scoring system at any time.

Any change takes effect only in the quarter after the next.

Scoring methodology

The scoring works in a few steps to decide what share of the quarterly prize pool each participating Regional Hub receives.

Calculation of Regional Hub points

Throughout the quarter, each Regional Hub collects points for its activities and events, as set out above.

A hub's points are tallied at the end of the quarter.

Calculation of total points

Next, the points of all participating Regional Hubs in that quarter are added up.

This total represents the combined effort of all hubs during the competition.

Percentage calculation

Each hub's share of the pool is its points compared with the total.

The percentage is the hub's points divided by the total points of all hubs, multiplied by 100.

Allocation of the Prize pool

Finally, the quarterly prize pool is divided according to each hub's percentage. The dashboard leaderboard shows each hub's points and current share of the pool during the quarter.

This keeps rewards proportional to what each hub achieves, relative to all participating hubs. It encourages healthy competition, active engagement and good events.
