Code of conduct

As ambassadors in a program run and funded by Blocksquare, you represent Blocksquare and Oceanpoint in your community, and your conduct shapes how both are seen.

To stay within the law and avoid problems with regulators and competitors, there are specific rules you must follow in all your work and activities as an ambassador, online and offline, including at events and in event descriptions.

This page sets out what you must not do. You confirm that you have read and follow it in the Profile & settings section of the ambassador dashboard.

Mentioning potential future price of BST

Never speculate about the future price of BST or any other token, and never discuss price targets or "upside". Talk about what BST is and how it is used today, not what it might be worth in the future. The same applies to property tokens and rewards: never promise returns.

Predicting or promoting future price increases could cause BST to be treated as a security under regulatory definitions.

Do not share or discuss legal or compliance opinions about Blocksquare or Oceanpoint, and do not give investment advice. Route such questions to the program team. Legal or compliance statements on behalf of Blocksquare need prior approval from its management.

This prevents the spread of sensitive or inaccurate information and ensures that only accurate, approved statements are made on behalf of the organization.

Mentioning of competitive projects

While representing the program, do not mention or promote competing projects, and do not invite people to events organized by competitors. Keep the focus on the program's own initiatives, projects and events.

Doing so can create conflicts of interest and weaken the organization's position in the market.

Misrepresentation

Always give accurate and honest information about Blocksquare's and Oceanpoint's products, services and initiatives.

Misrepresenting the company or its offerings damages trust and the brand's reputation.

Confidentiality

Treat all proprietary and confidential information belonging to Blocksquare with care, and do not disclose it to anyone unauthorized. This includes sensitive data, financial information and intellectual property.

Disclosure of affiliation

Always disclose your ambassador status when you promote Blocksquare or Oceanpoint. Make it clear that you are an ambassador, not an employee.

Social media conduct

When representing the program on social media or online forums, keep a respectful and professional tone.

Avoid inflammatory or offensive discussions that could reflect badly on the program.

Respecting intellectual property

Respect the intellectual property of others, and do not use copyrighted material without permission.

Engaging in unethical practices

Never take part in bribery, corruption or other unethical behavior that could harm the program's reputation or break legal and ethical standards.

Compliance and ethical considerations

These rules are there not only for legal compliance but also to keep the highest ethical standards in your role as an ambassador.

Following them keeps the program's representation positive and professional, and builds trust.

Seeking guidance

If you are in a situation that might breach any of these rules, or you are unsure whether something is appropriate, ask the program team for guidance and approval first.

Open communication keeps everyone within legal and ethical boundaries.

Consequences of non-compliance

Not following these rules may lead to disciplinary action and can affect your standing as an ambassador.

Breaches can lead to Blocksquare removing your ambassador role.
